Lunch is included in the tour to enjoy some local cuisine.
CURRENCY - EASTERN CARIBBEAN DOLLAR
Grenada has an extra special place in my heart as both my parents were born in this beautiful island, so it is definitely home away from home. Known as the Spice Isle, due to the abundance of spices found on the island including Cinnamon, Clove, Nutmeg, Mace and Turmeric to name a few.
The Capital of Grenada is St Georges and it boasts of a Picturesque harbour called the Carenage. Whilst in St Georges visit Fort George. You will be able to take in some great views of the island. Visitors have the choice of over 40 beaches to choose from. The most famous is Grand Anse Beach, which I adore.
GRAND ETANG LAKE
I love this lake as it is peaceful and serene. Popular area for hiking and trekking. There are also walking trails too.
RUM FACTORIES
A visit to the Caribbean without having a shot of rum is like an oxymoron. There are three rum factories in Grenada. River Antoine Rum Distillery, Clarke's Court Rum Factory and Westerhall Estate LTD . They all offer tours and tastings.
WATERFALLS
There are a number of waterfalls in Grenada but the main two are the
Concorde Falls and the Annandale Falls

I chose to do the Ariel tram. You are accompanied by a tour guide who gives you an insight into the trees, birds and animals found on the island.

It is a good opportunity for those that do not want to venture into the ocean but would like to see the underwater world of the beautiful Buccoo Reef. This gives you the opportunity to see the colourful fish, whilst in the boat through the glass.
SNORKELLING/SCUBA DIVING
If this is your thing, the coral and marine life were a sight to behold. My only regret was not having an underwater camera.

NYLON POOL
This is an in sea shallow white coral pool. Located off Pigeon Point and accessible by boat. As you journey to the pool you take in a picturesque view.

The New York City Subway typically operates 24/7 which makes exploring easy. I would suggest planning your journey prior to venturing out.
